It’s Spring, the days are getting longer, the afternoons warmer and we can all feel the hint of Summer on the horizon. So, it’s natural for us to want to be switching up our diets and lifestyles a bit, lightening up after Winter and giving our overall wellness a boost. Shop in season
Shopping and eating in season and locally, is so beneficial in terms of nutrient density, but it’s also a great way to save money on your shopping bill too. Early Spring in Australia and New Zealand brings an abundance of fresh produce to the fore, including: artichokes, asparagus, beetroot, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, fennel, leeks, mushrooms, rhubarb, silverbeet and spinach. So, these are the vegetables we can be stocking up on. In terms of fruit, Lady William apples, avocados, cantaloupe and honeydew melon, strawberries and pineapple are the stars.
