Ingredients

Cabbage rolls

  • 10 savoy cabbage leaves, large
  • 200 g long grain rice
  • 1700 g water
  • 120 g brown onion, cut into halves
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 100 g carrot, cut into pieces (1-2 cm)
  • 6 sprigs fresh flat-leaf parsley, leaves only
  • 30 g butter
  • 250 g chicken breast fillet, cut into pieces (3-4 cm)
  • 200 g pork mince
  • 2 tsp sea salt
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper

Tomato sauce

  • 100 g brown onion, cut into halves
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 30 g butter
  • 800 g canned tomatoes
  • 1 - 2 tbsp Vegetable stock paste (see Tips)
  • ½ tsp sea salt, to taste
  • ¼ tsp ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tsp cornflour
  • ½ tsp raw sugar
