Ingredients

  • 20 g garlic cloves
  • 2 fresh green chillies, deseeded
  • 2 cm fresh ginger, cut in cubes
  • 50 g olive oil
  • 1 ½ heaped tsp ground coriander
  • 1 ½ heaped tsp ground cumin
  • ½ heaped tsp ground fennel
  • ¼ heaped tsp ground turmeric
  • ½ heaped tsp garam masala
  • 150 g mung beans (dhall), soaked overnight and drained
  • 200 g tomatoes, cut in quarters
  • 350 g water
  • 100 g carrots, cut in slices (1 cm)
  • 80 g onions (approx. 1 onion), cut in slices
  • 50 g coconut milk
  • 2 heaped tsp salt, adjust to taste
