  • ¼ tsp cumin seeds
  • ¼ tsp black mustard seeds
  • ½ tsp white dhal (ulunthu)
  • 4 dried chillies
  • 40 g shallots, thinly sliced
  • 4 - 5 stalks curry leaves, leaves only
  • 30 g cooking oil
  • 7 garlic cloves, with skin, lightly smashed
  • 130 g tomatoes, cut in slices
  • 50 g rasam powder
  • 1 tsp salt
