Ingredients

Salisbury Steaks

  • 16 oz lean ground beef, broken into pieces
    or 16 oz beef, freshly ground (see Tip)
  • 2 oz bread crumbs
  • 1 tsp mustard powder
    or 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • ¼ tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 pinch ground cayenne pepper
  • 1 oz ketchup
    or 1 oz ketchup, homemade
  • ½ oz Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ oz soy sauce

Mushroom Sauce

  • 1 oz unsalted butter
  • 1 ½ oz all-purpose flour
  • 4 oz yellow onions, cut into pieces
  • 12 oz cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • 16 oz beef broth
  • 1 oz ketchup
    or 1 oz ketchup, homemade
  • ½ oz Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ tsp salt, to taste

Steaming

  • 16 oz fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 30 oz water
  • 18 oz russet potatoes, peeled, diced (½ in.)
  • 2 oz heavy whipping cream
  • ½ tsp salt, to taste
  • 1 oz unsalted butter

Pan Frying

  • vegetable oil, to fry
  • Italian parsley, to garnish
