Ingredients

  • 1 kg beef chuck, cut into 2-3 cm cubes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 onions, halved
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 3 carrots, peeled and cut into chunks
  • 5 potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
  • 2 celery sticks, cut into chunks
  • 1 can (440ml) Guinness beer
  • 1 TBS  stock and 250g water or 250g liquid stock
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 50 g seasoned flour (salt and pepper can be used here )
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
